“Chasing Fog : Learning How to Breathe”
Chasing Fog is an ongoing project exploring love, loss, and what lives in between them. It’s a visual investigation of what’s unsaid, the subtle energetic and emotional “conversations” spoken through a glance, a touch, a memory, a hope, and when someone feels like home.
Through self-portraiture and still life, I create visual poems that bring what’s underneath the surface up to shore. Working with a vintage Polaroid SX-70 and a 4x5 large format film camera, I welcome slowness, mystery, and the tactile weight of the analogue process. Many images are hand-stitched, a devotional gesture that reflects both vulnerability and restoration, a piercing mending of the heart, an honoring of what is unraveling and what’s hanging on by a thread.
This work is about desire that doesn’t demand resolution, and love that isn’t linear. It’s about the unseen architecture of longing, and the deep human need to belong.
