Yes to Life : L’Chaim
Magenta
Vernissage : August 28th - September 3rd
Vernissage comes from the French word for varnish. In the 19th century, artists would invite collectors in to see their work while the paint was still fresh. Today, it means a first look, a private unveiling - the moment a collection is revealed to the world.
This vernissage marks my birthday and sobriety anniversary.
Every collector this week receives their chosen “Yes to Life” print + an added piece of artwork, hand signed + a handwritten love letter from me to you. This special personalized gift is available through September 3.
Sweet like a flower in bloom is a similar but different version of the “yes to life” linocut, printed on pages of a book about lucid dreaming. Handwritten on top of the artwork with calligraphy pen and ink. This is a re-print of the original piece of artwork on heavy cardstock. Handsigned and dated on the back just for you. Size of the print is approx. 5x6”.
Sweet like a flower in bloom with handwritten love letter will arrive separately from your YES to Life : L’Chaim Print.
Yes to Life: L’Chaim
A linocut celebration of rooted wildness and a life fully expressed
30x40” print in black frame (frame not included)
In Hebrew the word “Chai” means life.
It holds the Hebrew numerology of 18, a number considered lucky and symbolic of giving life.
“L'Chaim” is what we say when we raise our glass in a toast of celebration, to life.
I got sober on 8/18/1987 at the age of 18, I was born on 8/28/1968
a triple blessing of 8s and 18s. to life, to life, to life!
The wildflowers in this new linocut are a metaphor for the wild act of saying yes to life, yes to ourselves, and
yes to being fully self-expressed, blooming freely while rooted deeply in our own being.
Here’s an opportunity to celebrate your own life and raise a (non-alcoholic) glass to toast L'Chaim
inside your heart and home.
(Listen to the pronunciation of “L'Chaim” here)

A linocut is a printmaking process where an image is carved by hand into linoleum and then printed directly from the block. The piece featured here was created as a one-of-a-kind linocut. What you are purchasing is a giclée print of that original, produced with archival inks and fine art paper to faithfully preserve every detail.
