Day 4: Metaphor, Object, Symbolism.

January 13, 2016

The magnifying glass.

This is a child's red plastic magnifying glass. I purchased many fancy ones and this ended up working the best for the idea I had.

The hands with tomato and clothes pin.

This was exploring my relationship with Max. The boy who is so fragile is also a boy who squeezes me and my sense of self, independence, space.

The school girls plain skirt.

This was exploring the idea of sexuality with someone new - new love - vulnerability - innocence - keeping myself pure... and the loss of that purity.

The lesson for today. Today find your own visual language with objects that you can use as metaphors and symbols.
